WHAT IF WE MISS OUR CLASS?
If you aren't able to make it to your scheduled class, you can cancel or reschedule anytime with at least 12 hours by clicking the 'cancel/reschedule' button on your confirmation email or your reminder email. If you need to cancel with less than 12 hours notice please send an email to bridgette@laslenguitas.com or send a text message to 517-258-2155. Cancellations with less than 12 hours notice will not be refunded.
For cancellations:
If you paid the class individually, you will receive a refund for the cancelled class. If you paid for the class as part of a subscription, you will receive a credit on your account to be used towards a make up class in the future.

HOW DO SUBSCRIPTIONS WORK?
What if I can't find a time that works for our schedule?
CAN BOTH OF MY CHILDREN ATTEND THE SAME CLASS?
Of course! It is not uncommon for a family to have a 10 month old and a 2 year old together or to have a 1 year old and a 3 year old in the same class. For some families, their children do well together and it's easiest to come to one class instead of two. For other families, one child 'helps' the other by translating or their children distract each other so it's best to have them in separate classes. Our classes are easily adapted to meet the needs of the students in class and we encourage you to find the best fit for your family. If you're not sure which scenario is right for your family, feel free to ask. If it doesn't work out, we can always make changes to find a better fit for your family.
DO YOU OFFER ANYTHING FOR CHILDREN WHO ALREADY KNOW SPANISH?
Because we teach Spanish through immersion, classes are easily adapted to meet the needs of the students in class. Our lessons are carefully tailored to the needs of the students enrolled. Even 2 classes of the same level, in the same day, don't look the same because different students are enrolled. While beginners pick up on nouns, verbs and the rhythms of the language, very advanced students pick up on more advanced vocabulary and grammar concepts, all during the same activity.
ARE STUDENTS LEARNING FROM NATIVE SPEAKERS?
At Las Lengüitas, we know that the location a teacher is from doesn't determine whether or not they are good at teaching language. Whether it is their first language or their fourth language, the most important factors in finding a great language teacher are an excellent command of the language, a thorough understanding of language acquisition processes in the brain (and how they change through different developmental levels), and an ability to connect with his/her students on a personal level. While native speakers tend to communicate in the target language with more ease, non-native speakers tend to be much more aware of typical pitfalls and difficulties for the learner allowing them to provide extra support to reduce the struggle. Ms. Bridgette is a native speaker of English and a fluent speaker of Spanish.
